As a national sport organisation for adapted and disability sports, the Finnish CP Association aims to promote the physical activity of its members. The sports services of the Association offer something for all ages (children, young, adults and seniors) regardless of their level of disability.
While the principal focus is on health-enhancing physical activity, we also support competitive and performance sports as part of our sports services. Physical activity is vitally important for the mental, physical and social wellbeing of the individual.
The goal of the Finnish CP Association is to provide opportunities for physical activity and recreational sports for as many individuals with CP, Spina Bifida or hydrocephalus as possible and to promote equal access to sports for people with disabilities everywhere in Finland.
The Association is involved in the organisation of several national sport events annually, and supports and encourages local associations in organising regular physical activity for their members.
